Santiago Rivera

Santiago Rivera lives in the charming coastal village of Cadaqués, nestled on the rugged edge of Spain’s Costa Brava. Long known as a haven for artists, this town with its whitewashed walls, deep blue seas, and salty breeze deeply influences Santiago’s ceramic practice. His studio, perched above a winding stone lane, is filled with light, clay, and the gentle sound of waves.

He works with quiet devotion, hand-throwing ceramic bowls that are both sculptural and usable. The palette is soft and coastal - sand, seafoam, driftwood grey - while each form reflects his appreciation for tactile beauty and slow rhythms. He believes in the poetry of imperfection, and in crafting objects meant to last and be loved.

For Santiago, ceramics is a dialogue between the artist, the earth, and the daily rituals of living. Each bowl invites you to pause, touch, and enjoy the simple intimacy of handcrafted design.
