General Policy

At Varld, each item is handcrafted by artisans, either made to order or in small batches, exclusively for you. Due to the personalized and limited nature of these products, and the long journey they take from Europe to your doorstep, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind, preference, or non-defective issues.

Our policy is based on two key considerations: the unique, custom-made nature of each piece, and the impracticality and potential for damage during reverse logistics. This policy applies to all sale items and freebies as well.

We only process refunds for the following reasons:

  • Wrong or defective item(s)
  • Damaged item(s)
  • Missing or potentially lost item(s)

Due to logistical reasons, we are currently only issuing refunds and not arranging for replacements or exchanges.

How to Request a Refund

In the rare event that an order arrives damaged, is the wrong item, or does not arrive at all, please follow the process outlined below. You will need all essential order details to verify your claim. We strongly recommend that you securely keep the damaged, faulty, or wrong item along with its packaging until we confirm what to do with it.

What if an item is delayed?

If you believe an item is delayed, please fill out the form here. We will track the item and provide you with an estimated delivery date.

Please only contact us about a delayed item if the quoted delivery time has been exceeded.

Additional Notes:

  • We will evaluate your request and get back to you within 5-7 business days with the next steps. Please be aware that there may be delays due to limited staffing.
  • If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send the package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether your refund is approved. 
    • If it is approved, you will automatically be refunded to your original payment method.
    • Refunds are typically processed within 5-7 working days from the date of approval, after which it may take additional time for your bank or card provider to reflect the amount in your account.
    • Keep in mind that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund as well.
  • For missing or potentially lost items, we will verify the claim with our shipping and insurance partners. We will notify you once the verification process is complete and let you know if the refund is approved. 
    • If it is approved, you will automatically be refunded to your original payment method.
    • Refunds are typically processed within 5-7 working days from the date of approval, after which it may take additional time for your bank or card provider to reflect the amount in your account.
    • Keep in mind that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund as well.
