Shipping policy

1. Slow shipping, by design

Värld ships slowly and carefully, by choice. Every piece is prepared by its artisan, travels from their studio to our London hub, is inspected and packed by hand, and then makes the long journey to you.

We have found that unhurried, slow shipping protects handmade pieces far better than rushing them, and it reflects the care that goes into making them. Please allow 4 to 8 weeks from your order for delivery. If your piece arrives sooner, all the better.

2. How your order travels

1. Confirmed with your artisan. We confirm your order with your artisan and email you. Your piece is then made, or prepared from the artisan's small-batch studio stock.
2. To our London hub. The artisan inspects, photographs and sends your piece to our London hub, sometimes via one of our regional hubs in Europe.
3. Inspected and packed. Our team inspects, photographs, weighs and records each piece, then packs your complete order by hand. All items in one order travel together.
4. Delivered to you. Your order is dispatched from London to you by our trusted courier partners, and we email you tracking details.

3. Delivery times

• Estimated delivery: 4 to 8 weeks from the date of your order. Please note that our courier partners usually do not collect or deliver on weekends or public holidays.
• Latest delivery: 10 weeks from your order. If your order has not arrived within 10 weeks, you may contact us about cancelling it, as set out in our Cancellation, Returns and Refund Policy.
• Delays outside our control do not count towards these times. These include time held by customs authorities, carrier disruptions, strikes, weather, natural disasters, public holidays, and incorrect or incomplete delivery details.

All times are counted from the moment your order is placed, in UK time (London).

4. Where we ship, costs, duties and taxes

Where we ship.

We deliver across India, to the UAE & US, and to most other countries. Available destinations are shown at checkout.

Shipping costs.

• India: free standard shipping on every order.
• UAE and other countries: shipping is calculated at checkout, based on your destination and order.

We do not currently offer express shipping. Your piece's preparation by the artisan is the main part of the journey, and speeding up the final leg would add cost without changing that.

Duties and taxes.

All prices include applicable import duties and taxes, wherever we deliver. You will not pay anything beyond the amount shown at checkout.

Separate orders.

We cannot combine separate orders once they have been placed, for customs and compliance reasons. Any shipping charges apply to each order.

5. Tracking, packaging and delivery

Updates and tracking. You will receive an order confirmation email when you place your order, a second email once your order is confirmed with your artisan, and a shipping email with tracking details once your order is on its way to you.

Packaging. Each order is packed by hand over 1 to 2 days, using multiple protective layers designed for fragile, handmade pieces.

Receiving your order. Please give a complete address, zip/pin/post code and a phone number you can be reached on. Address changes are possible only until your order leaves our London hub. Refused, missed or misaddressed deliveries are your responsibility, as set out in section 6 of our Cancellation, Returns and Refund Policy.

Film your unboxing. If your parcel arrives damaged, you will need an unedited unboxing video and photos to make a claim within 48 hours of delivery. Please start filming before you open your parcel. Full details are in our Cancellation, Returns and Refund Policy.

In-store pickup. We do not offer pickup. All orders are delivered.
