Rafael Martín

Growing up surrounded by the tile-covered courtyards of Seville, Rafael Martín developed a quiet reverence for the art of form and repetition. His earliest creative influences came from the rich Islamic architecture of Andalucía—its arched silhouettes, earthy tones, and centuries of ceramic tradition. Rather than recreate the past, Rafael sought to reinterpret it.

Working with recycled glass and traditional Moroccan Tamegroute pottery, Rafael blends historical texture with minimalist clarity. His work feels at once aged and current—designed for the modern table, but echoing the hand of heritage. Whether casting sculptural soy candles into green-glazed vessels or shaping tactile drinking glasses, Rafael’s objects are both visually striking and deeply usable.

To him, good design invites stillness. It encourages us to drink slowly, light with intention, and surround ourselves with things that feel real. His pieces carry not only function but also atmosphere—offering a quiet dialogue between memory and modernity.
